Line Two of our Family Tree

This line of descent will hopefully clarify our relationship with the Washington family.

Generation One

1. Capt. Laurence¹ Washington, b. September 1659 at Pope's Creek, Wakefield, Westmoreland, Co., VA; m. Mildred Warner, b. abt. 1670 in Warner Hall, Gloucester Co., VA; d. bef. January 30, 1697. She was daughter of Col. Augustine Warner and Mildred Reade and marriage abt. 1689. Note: Captain Washington was President George Washington's grandfather, and the link will take you to the other Washington page.
Laurence and Mildred Warner had the following child:

Capt. Augustine² (Capt. Laurence¹), Washington I

Generation Two

2. Capt. Augustine² (Capt. Laurence¹), Washington I, b. 1694 in Wakefield, Westmoreland Co. VA, d. April 12,1743 at Ferry Farm, King George Co., VA; married twice. Married Jane Butler (b. 1699, d. November 24, 1729) on April 20, 1715. Married Mary Ball, daughter of Joseph Ball and Mary Bennett, March 6, 1731 in Fredericksburg, VA. (Mary Ball b. 1708-09 in Lancaster Co., VA; d. August 25, 1789 at Fredericksburg, VA.) Note: Capt. Augustine Washington was the father of President George Washington.
Augustine I and Jane Washington had the following child:

Augustine³ (Capt. Augustine^2, Capt. Laurence¹), Washington II

Generation Three

3. Augustine³ (Capt. Augustine^2, Capt. Laurence¹), Washington II, b. 1720, d. 1762; m. Anne Aylett, b. 1726, d. 1773. Note: Augustine Washington was the half-brother of President George Washington.
Augustine and Anne Washington had the following child:

Jane Augusta⁴ (Augustine^3, Capt. Augustine^2, Capt. Laurence¹) Washington

Generation Four

4. Jane Augusta⁴ (Augustine^3, Capt. Augustine^2, Capt. Laurence¹) Washington, b. 1752, d. 1833; m. Col. John Thornton, b. 1743, d. 1822.
Jane and Col. John Thornton had the following child:

Generation Five

5. Nancy Augusta⁵ (Jane Augusta⁴, Augustine^3, Capt. Augustine^2, Capt. Laurence¹Washington) Thornton, b. 1763, d. 1848; m. Hugh Rogers, b. 1761, d. 1848.
With this generation two of our lines of descent are "married." These are the Rogers and Washington lines.

11. Sarah Kay Rogers Dora Frances' second child, born in Ada, Oklahoma, Sarah had five children. Sarah is married to Tom Rice, b.January 12, 1949 Daggett, Ca., to Jack Rice and Roberta Kathleen Dockery)

     iii. Reginald Richard Rogers, b. June 19, 1977, Corpus Christi, TX.

Reggie and Terrie Sue had the following children:

v. Russell Allen Rogers, b. June 26, 1985, Corpus Christi, TX.

14. Richard Lee (Ricky) Rogers, b. Jacksonville, TX, June 3, 1949; d. Houston, TX, July 7, 1972.

Ricky had the following child:

i. Michelle Rogers, soon to be a mother.

15.Charlotte Rhea Rogers, b. October 13, 1956.

Charlotte has had the following children:

i. living daughter
ii. living son

14. Sarah Lucille Rogers, b. July 24, 1915 in Lula, OK; d. May 25, 1975 in Cypress, CA. Lucille married four times: Virgil Robert Booth, Bootz Mercer, Solon Bell Wood, Junious (Jay) Augustus Danner.

Lucille and Virgil Booth (b. 1914 d. 1982) married November 12, 1930.
Lucille and Virgil had the following child:
15. i. Bobbe Jean Booth

Lucille and Junius Danner (b. 1901 d. 1987) married July 04, 1938.
Lucille and Junius had the following children:
16. i. Bobbe Jean (Booth) Danner (was adopted), b. March 14, 1933; m. Ronald Budda, June 7, 1949.
17. ii. Living female Danner

Lucille and Solon Bell Wood (b. 1917 d. 1972) married November 17, 1951.

Note: There are two, and in some cases, three generations after this one, but I would like to have permission before putting information about anyone on here who is living - and almost all of these generations are still living; so I am putting it up "as-is" and will make changes as soon as I receive updated information from family members.
